TOFTigers improves the ecological and economic sustainability of wildlands and wildlife in India and Nepal.  Their PUG eco certification programme, recognised by the UN-backed Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC), is a mark of sustainability for travellers selecting where to stay in wilderness destinations in India and Nepal. This comprehensive standard for lodges and hotels in rural areas covers all aspects of operation from design and build, energy use, local procurement, waste management and water treatment to local employment and enterprise, community support, nature education, conservation and promoting local culture. 

Positive Nature is helping to develop a new online resource to share and promote best practice through case studies, tips, briefings and useful links. The work is being carried out in consultation with TOFTigers Green Team
